Smolyan Youth Environmental Roundtable: Amplifying Marginalized Voices
Young Improvers for Youth Development hosted the first Smolyan Youth Environmental Roundtable on [insert date], bringing together diverse youth representatives, local policymakers, and environmental experts to discuss pressing environmental issues in the Smolyan community.
The roundtable was part of the “Voices United for Smolyan: Empowering Marginalized Youth for Environmental Advocacy” project, which aims to amplify the voices of marginalized youth and engage them in local decision-making processes related to environmental issues.
The event was a huge success, with over 30 participants from various youth-led organizations, including representatives from rural communities, minorities, and vulnerable groups. The discussion focused on the impact of climate change on the community and potential solutions that could be implemented to mitigate its effects.
One of the key takeaways from the roundtable was the importance of including marginalized voices in policy-making processes related to the environment.
