Young Improvers for Youth Development (YIYD), a non-profit organization based in Smolyan, Bulgaria, has launched its Smolyan Green Ambassadors Program as part of its Voices United for Smolyan: Empowering Marginalized Youth for Environmental Advocacy project. The program aims to support small-scale, community-led environmental projects initiated by marginalized youth in the Smolyan region.

Through the Smolyan Green Ambassadors Program, YIYD seeks to empower young people from rural communities, minorities, and vulnerable groups to take an active role in environmental advocacy and policy-making. The program will provide training and resources to help young people design and implement their own environmental projects, with the goal of creating sustainable and positive change in their local communities.
The program will also create a network of young environmental leaders who will work together to tackle local environmental challenges and raise awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship. YIYD will support these young leaders through mentorship, capacity-building, and access to resources, as they develop and implement their projects.
